BAGUIO CITY- Baguio City and Benguet municipalities: La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay (BLISTT), celebrate the 20th staging of the flower festival together, as represented by six multi-colored petals that grace the logo of Panagbenga 2015.
Architect Joseph Alabanza during the press conference following the launching ceremonies explained the concept behind the floral symbol and the inscribed theme, "Across 20 years, Blossoming Together."
BAGUIO CITY - The Panagbenga 2015 grand streetdancing and floral float parade usually scheduled on the third weekend of February is moved a week later, on February 28 and March 1, it was announced during the Panagbenga press conference launching edition at city hall last Monday.
This is to make way for the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) grand alumni homecoming, on Feb. 20 to 22, Executive committee Co-chair Freddie Alquiroz said. The streetdancing parade starts at Panagbenga Park, to Session and Harrison road, and ends at the Athletic Bowl; while the florat float parade starts at the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) area to Session road, Harrison Road and Athletic Bowl.

When storekeeper Catalina Yukdawan of Poblacion, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur was diagnosed for kidney failure in January, 2012, her daughter Pacita took her home to Baguio so she could be near the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for her twice-a-week dialysis treatment.
Leila, another daughter, took over the store as a continuous source of fund for Catalina's treatment while the octogenarian's four other children assured additional support. Catalina, 81, had lost five other children to heart and other serious illnesses.
BAGUIO CITY- The city council has commended through Resolution 298, s. of 2014, Inocencio Mayos of Barangay Gibraltar, his wife Grace and children as Model Overseas Foreign Worker (OFW) family, regional level, land-based category, the action as approved by Mayor Mauricio Domogan.
The criteria as set by sponsoring agency, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), include: wholesome OFW family relation and solidarity, 50%; civic/community involvement of OFW and family, 20%; success in managing family finances, 10%.

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) administered Philippine Youth Games or Batang Pinoy Luzon Qualifying leg which kicked-off in Naga, Camarines Sur successfully closed last week with team Baguio landing in the 2nd highest spot.
As per latest medal tally count, Baguio City slided down to 2nd place in over-all standing with 38 golds, 35 silvers and 35 bronze medals falling short to Quezon City who bagged this year's over-all crown with 50 golds, 41 silvers and 35 bronze medals.
BAGUIO CITY – this mountain resort hosted anew high school students coming from the different parts of the Cordillera to a three-day working seminar on Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health Education here.
The seminar is spearheaded by the Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Cordillera Adolescent Health and Development cluster as part of their program in training teenagers as partners in adolescent health education.
