DENR told to prioritize lands for solid waste disposal projects

BAGUIO CITY June 27 – Outgoing Major Mauricio G. Domogan challenged the environment department to immediately work out the segregation of lands in the different parts of the country that are suitable for the put up of solid waste disposal projects of local governments instead of wilfully classifying them as alienable and disposable and awarding them to landless people.

Mayor fears possible mutilation of proposed autonomy law

BAGUIO CITY June 27 – Outgoing Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan warned of the possible watering down or mutilation of the proposed autonomy law in the 18th Congress once elected lawmakers in the different parts of the region will not be united in aggressively advancing for the immediate passage of the Organic Act which Cordillerans had been longing for over the past three decades.

The city government of Baguio's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) unit received an automated external defibrillator from Lubbock Texas Medical Mission led by Nurse Jowel Patano (center beside Mayor Mauricio Domogan). The equipment is necessary to save lives during heart attack emergencies. The organization also donated several medical supplies and equipment to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) particularly two brand new units of portable suction and four brand new units of nebulizers. – By Jessa Mardy P.
