Civil service review of PWDs to be funded

BAGUIO CITY November 28 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance allocating the amount of one hundred thousand pesos to be used for the conduct of civil service examination reviews for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the city by the Cordillera office of the Civil Service Commission (CSC-CAR), in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

The ordinance authored by Vice Mayor Eidon R. Bilog stated that the City Social Welfare and Development Office shall be tasked to spearhead in the implementation of the pertinent provisions of the proposed local legislative measure and to submit a periodic report to the City Mayor and the City Council regarding the compliance of the local government to the said measure.

Master plan for Burnham Park complex proposed

BAGUIO CITY November 28 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance authorizing the implementation of the master development plan for the Burnham Park property complex, particularly the D.5.2.5., which is an existing tourist bus parking area between the Baguio City National High School (BCNHS) campus and the skating rink area, more particularly described as the Baguio auditorium wherein a proposed multi-level parking building with concession areas adopting 'green architecture' concept and its surrounding grounds shall be designed in the area D.5.2.8. or the new library grounds and park management shall serve as an alternative to the Ganza park proposal and authorizing the City Mayor to implement the same.
