BAGUIO CITY May 08 – The local legislative body gave a last chance to the head of the city's Registry of Deeds to appear before its regular session on Monday, 13 May 2018 to shed light on the complaints of the transacting public regarding alleged corruption activities inside his office.

Preparation of Burnham lighting plan proposed

BAGUIO CITY May 06 – The City Council approved a resolution requesting the Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) the City Engineering Office (CEO) and the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) to jointly prepare the lighting plan of the 34-hectare Burnham Park complex to guarantee the safety and security of park users and ensure the illumination of the public place at night for future recreational purposes.

LTFRB urged to hold public hearings in city

BAGUIO CITY May 06 – The local legislative body urged the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) board to conduct public hearings relative to the proposed reduction of the excessive taxi fare in the city for the members to be appraised on the prevailing situation and the issues that warrant the desired reduction on the approved taxi fare.

Anti-no return no exchange policy measure crafted

BAGUIO CITY May 08 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance known as the anti-no return no exchange policy measure in the city.

The ordinance authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr. stated that the provisions of the measure shall apply to all establishments registered and within the jurisdiction of the local government.
