Acute bloody diarrhea cases down by 9 percent

BAGUIO CITY July 10 – Acute bloody diarrhea cases in the region dropped by nine precent for the first six months of this year compared to the cases reported during the same period last year following the recording of some eight hundred eighty eight cases this year compared to the nine hundred seventy five cases registered for the same period last year.

Rules in the display of signage in city proposed

BAGUIO CITY July 11 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance providing for the policies and guidelines for the display of signs, signboards and advertising materials in the city and repealing Ordinance No. 111, series of 1949 which regulates the display or erection of signs, signboards and bulletin boards in the city, prescribing permit fees and providing for other purposes and ordinance No. 302, series of 1958.

Cash incentives for police auxiliary members proposed

BAGUIO CITY July 11 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance making it a policy of the local government to grant cash incentive in the amount of five thousand pesos for every year of service to every retiring member of the Baguio City Police Office auxiliary, amending for the purpose Ordinance No. 39, series of 2011, appropriating funds for other purposes.

City scholarship program proposed

BAGUIO CITY July 11 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance establishing a scholarship program for deserving students of the city and appropriating an initial amount of P10 million as scholarship fund which shall be included every year thereafter in the executive budget of the local government.

Influenza like illness in Cordillera drop by 7 percent

BAGUIO CITY July 12 – Influenza like illnesses in the Cordillera slightly decreased by seven percent for the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year after the health department recorded some four thousand six cases this year compared to the four thousand three hundred twenty seven cases during the same reckoning period last year.
