Night market in several city streets proposed

BAGUIO CITY January 08 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance approving the conduct of night market at the vicinity of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Kayang Streets within the jurisdiction of the city public market to provide sources of livelihood for the increasing number of vendors involved in the said trade.

High rise building suspension has to go through process - mayor

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan on Monday said suspending the construction of high rise buildings in the city is doable but would entail a whole new process of amending the city's zoning ordinance which had just been revised in 2016.

Mayor vetoes Burnham carnival operation

BAGUIO CITY January 10 – Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan vetoed Resolution No. 416, series of 2018 that approved the request of Link-in Corporation for the conduct of the 'Carnibal ti Baguio' at the children's playground, Burnham Park from February 1, 2019 to May 30, 2019 subject to conditions as set forth by the guidelines of the executive department and returned the same to the local legislative body unsigned.

Honest storekeeper recognized by city

BAGUIO CITY January 10 – The local government conferred to a storekeeper at the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) building the coveted recognition after he returned a wallet containing a huge amount of money he found amidst his need for the same.

PNOC study key in finalizing city disposal site

BAGUIO CITY January 08 – Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan reported the upcoming conduct of a comprehensive study by the State-owned Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) on the most feasible technology for the proper disposal of the generated garbage in the city to help convince the municipal officials of Itogon, Benguet to allow the put up of a state-of-the-art integrated waste disposal facility that will cater to the garbage disposal needs of the Baguio-La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba-Tublay (BLISTT) area.
