Philspada and Boy Scout activities set.

BAGUIO CITY- The city's differently-abled individuals participate in paralympic sports on May 23 to 31 at the Bulacan Sports Complex, Malolos, Bulacan and in the 63rd annual national Boy Scout council meeting on May 29 to 31, at the Camarines Sur Capitol convention center, Pili, Camarines.

In a memorandum circular from Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Ano to provincial governors, municipal and city mayors, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional directors, secretaries and others concerned, qualified persons with disabilities (PWDs) from the local government units were encouraged to join the event.

It will be an excellent opportunity for persons with disabilities all over the country to exhibit their sporting ability on a national level with the hope of making it to the national paralympic roster and a chance to quality and participate in the upcoming 2020 ASEAN Para games which our country hosts in Jan. 18 to 25, 2020 and in other international sporting arena, the letter stated.

Persons with disabilities affairs officer (PDAO) Samuel Aquino has finalized the list of qualified PWDs going to the event.

For the Boy Scouts, local government officials, executive board members, Department of Education (Dep-Ed) officers are expected to participate in the event.

Reports of national president and national treasurer elect four regular members of the national executive board, propose possible amendments to the BSP by-laws and conduct the national court of honor during the three-day affair.

Awarding ceremonies of the tribute to scoutmaster, ten outstanding local council chairmen and ten outstanding local commissioners happens during the occasion. –juliegfianza
