1500 patients recipients of SM and Chinese community medical missions

BAGUIO CITY - The Filipino Chinese Community in tandem with SM-Baguio with the support of the City Government in cooperation with the Baguio-Benguet Public Information Civic Action Group (BB-PICAG), City Disater Coiordinating Council (CDCC), Philippine National Red Cross, PNP Medical and Dental Team, Philippine Medical  Women's Association Baguio-Benguet Chapter, City Social Welfare and Development, Baguio Emergency Service (EMS), Baguio General and Medical Center and the City Health Office  extended help to almost 1500 patients during the "Gamot Para Sa Kapuwa"  Medical Mission at SM-Baguio January 27 as part of the Chinese New Year Festivities to welcome the "Year of the Rabbit".


Parade and Medical Mission chairman Peter Ng said since SM-Baguio started to support the program, more indigent patients availed of free medical check up and medicines.



"This is our primary objective of celebrating this grand event to foster a closer and stronger relationship between the Filipino and Chinese Communities, we are blending two unique cultures in celebrating the Chinese New Year by promoting peace, unity and prosperity for all of us"'  Ng  and Dr. Charles Cheng said.



Representing Mayor Mauricio Domogan , Secretary to the Mayor Raffy Tallocoy said the entry this year of SM "Gamot Para sa Kapwa" Foundation headed by project supervisor Benita de Guzman, through Mall Manager Engr. Marc Jansen Pe and PR Manager for Northern Luzon Karren Padilla for the use of the Mobile Laboratory with X-Ray Machine , Urinalysis, ECG, Blood Sugar Screening Tests  and 300 various types of vitamins and  medicines has helped a lot for the " Baguio's Finest" and their families as they are the beneficiaries for this years mission.
