BAGUIO CITY – Many business establishments in the barangays are operating without the necessary business permits.

This was gleaned from the initial data gathered from the first 24 barangays that submitted detailed lists of business firms operating in their areas either with or without permits in compliance with the directive of Mayor Mauricio Domogan.

BAGUIO CITY – the celebration of the National Disaster Consciousness Month takes full swing in this mountain resort July 22 as volunteers and stakeholders gather in the heart of the city.

As part of the countrywide celebration, the city also tied the program to the commemoration of the July 16, 1990 Killer Earthquake 22 years ago.

Road-right-of-way rule snags plan to build barangay hall

Saying the fifth floor long offered by the Department of Public Works and Highways is inaccessible for their community hall, barangay leaders of Cabinet Hill-Teachers Camp told the city council Monday they want to build one in a joint venture with the Rotary Club of Baguio South.

Anti-Red Tape monitoring team created

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan last week issued Administrative Order 87, s. of 2012 for the creation of a monitoring team to implement the "Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) of 2007."

The mayor heads the monitoring team with Vice-Mayor Daniel Farinas as Vice-Chairman and Action Officer.

Mayor orders census of barangay-based business as crackdown on illegal traders continues

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan ordered punong barangays here to submit a detailed list of business establishments operating in their areas of responsibility with or without business permits.

The barangay heads were given a month or until last Friday to submit the said lists.
