Mayor thumbs up circus but no clowning

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan this week has approved operators of the Carnival here to operate in consonance with the celebrations of the flower Festival.

The mayor said he has given the go signal for Blue Screen Entertainment to go on with their activity on a Temporary basis or until March 4 for it to make good its promise of a 'wholesome entertainment' for Baguio residents and visitors.

Mayor forms committee for SOCOB 2012

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan this week formed the committee for the city's 'Search for Outstanding Citizen's of Baguio (SOCOB).

Administrative order 22 Series of 2012 specifically created members of the committee composed of various individuals tasked to accept nominations for this year's search.

Mayor Peter Carlisle of Honolulu Hawaii (R) handling to Mayor Mauricio Domogan a token from his city during a courtesy call at the City Mayor's Office Wednesday. Mayor Carlisle who led the Filipino-Hawaii Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Baguio this week and signed with Mayor Domogan a renewal of sisterhood ties between Honolulu and this city. Interestingly it was in 1995 (17 years ago) during the second term of Domogan as city mayor that the sisterhood ties was signed between Honolulu and Baguio but in went in -active during the new millennium.

Philippine TKD team boasts five Baguio teens

BAGUIO CITY – It's official, five promising Baguio teens will represent the country in the international arena.

After an impressive performance during the Taekwondo Qualifiers last February 18 and 19 held at the National Taekwondo Gym in Metro Manila, five Baguio jins were chosen to form part of the prestigious Philippine Juniors Taekwondo Team which will represent the country in International Championships this year.
