City to rebid asin minihydro project

BAGUIO CITY – The city government will rebid the Asin mini-hydroelectric plant operation and rehabilitation before the end of the month.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan and city budget officer Leticia Clemente who heads the Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) confirmed this last week following the failure of the first bidding conducted last January 27.

Dads ask legal office to reply to P-noy's order on Bocap case

BAGUIO CITY – The city council on Monday asked the city legal office to take charge of the body's comments and other needed actions relative to the barangay administrative case of Bakakeng Central barangay captain Helen Miranda now pending before the Office of the President (OP).

The OP through Undersecretary and Assistant Executive Secretary for legal Affairs Ronaldo Geron ordered the city council to submit its comments on a memorandum on appeal filed by former Bakakeng Central Punong Barangay Alicia Pacsi-Dizon, et. al. for Miranda's suspension over cases of grave misconduct and abuse of authority.

BAGUIO CITY – As part of Baguio Flower Festival 2012, the search for the cleanest and greenest barangay from among the 128 barangays, including the roadside, garden and landscaping contest, is on. City answers writ of kalikasan, seeks dismissal of case

BAGUIO CITY – The city government on Feb. 3 filed its answer to the allegations lodged in the Writ of Kalikasan filed by petitioners led by Benguet Rep. Ronald Cosalan over the continued use of the Irisan dumpsite.

The Supreme Court last January 17 granted said writ and issued Temporary Environmental Protection Order (TEPO) to stop the use of Irisan dumpsite as dumping area and as temporary holding or staging point for wastes.
