Senate, House bicam okays revised Baguio Charter

BAGUIO CITY, – The members of the Senate and House bicameral conference committee recently approved the revisions of the century-old Baguio Charter legitimizing the swapping of properties between the nearby town of Tuba, Benguet and the country's Summer Capital and allowing the direct award of alienable and disposable lands to qualified occupants.

BAGUIO CITY – the fight against vandalism and graffiti in this mountain resort continues as sectors of society have sworn to help.

Vice Mayor Daniel Farinas revived the call for dissemination of City Ordinance No. 41 series of 2008 or the "Anti Graffiti Code of Baguio City" in order to strengthen its implementation in the city.

Senate OKs Baguio City Charter

BAGUIO CITY, – The City may finally get a new City Charter this Christmas. This came after the Senate finally approve the revise new Charter for Baguio City. Local officials lauded the senate for approving this particular legislative measure that is very close to the heart of Baguio people amidst their hectic schedule in the deliberation of the P2 trillion national budget, saying that the metes and bounds of the city will now be permanently established while long-time occupants of lands will be able to have these titled in their names.
