Council okays creation of anti-crime, security task force

BAGUIO CITY March 12 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance seeking the creation of the Mayor's Anti-Crime Task and Security Force (MACTSF) in lieu of the Public Order and Security Department, defining its purpose, functions and duties, providing for personnel standards and qualifications, establishing its rules of engagement and other purposes.

Edict on provision of courtesy seats for marginalized sectors passed

BAGUIO CITY March 12 – The City Council approved on first reading similar proposed ordinances requiring business establishments and government offices in the city, especially having long queues of clients, to provide courtesy seats for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women and women with babies, and providing penalties for violations.
