Council oks pangasinense, fil-indian days on second reading

BAGUIO CITY – Pangasinense, Fil-Indian Days marked in the city, why not?

The city council on Dec. 10 approved on second reading two proposed ordinances declaring a day of celebration each for Pangasinenses and Filipino-Indians.

Authored by Councilor Edgar Avila, the proposed measures set the "Natan La-Pangasinense Day" every December 8 and the "Indian Day" every October 19.

Cordillera lawmakers urged to prioritize autonomy bill

BAGUIO CITY December 14 – Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan urged Cordillera lawmakers who happen to be the principal authors of House Bill (HB) 5343 or the bill that seeks to establish the Autonomous Region in the Cordillera (ARC) to exert extra efforts in lobbying for the continuous conduct of committee hearings that will allow the passage of the same in the committee level and eventually by the plenary of the House of Representatives.

Baguio, Dingalan town seal sisterhood accord

BAGUIO CITY – The city sealed its sisterhood relationship with Dingalan town in Aurora province in ceremonies held Dec. 12.

Dingalan Mayor Shierwin Taay signed the twinning accord with Councilor Elmer Datuin and Secretary to the Mayor George Fortea who represented Mayor Mauricio Domogan.
