Domogan the shortlist of the qualified senior police commissioned officers who are the aspirants for the position of city Director of the Baguio city Police Office (BCPO) tat is about to be vacated for the lapse of the 2-year tour of duty of the incumbent chief.

Equal sharing of IRA over disputed areas sought

Bokod, Benguet September 11 – The Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC-CAR) and the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC-CAR) passed a resolution requesting the Department of budget and Management (DBM) to equally release the corresponding Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) covering areas subject of boundary disputes by local governments in the different parts of the region.

Batang Pinoy games moved to September 17

BAGUIO CITY September 12 – officials of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the local government decided to move the schedules of games lined up for the Batang Pinoy national championships from September 16, 2018 to September 17, 2018 to allow Supertyphoon Ompong to pass through the city and exit the country.

Households to undergo basic life support training

BAGUIO CITY September 10 – The City Council approved on first reading a proposed ordinance providing basic life support training for every household in the city.

The ordinance authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr. stated that it is a declared policy of the State to protect and promote the right to health of the people and instill health consciousness among them and that it is likewise the declared policy of the local government to promote, expand and encourage its city disaster risk reduction and management plans, mobilize all households in every barangay to be cardiopulmonary resuscitation ready and share the information on the value, importance and benefits of providing emergency medical assistance.
