BAGUIO CITY June 27 – Outgoing Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan declared he will be leaving the local government without any outstanding debt with whatever government or private financial institutions that could have compromised the city's fiscal standing.

Collapsible parking building eyed to replace old magsaysay building

BAGUIO CITY – A collapsible parking structure is eyed to replace the condemned Old Magsaysay Building at the City Market.

City Building Officer Nazita Banez said the plans and program of work for the "temporary and dismantable" structure had been completed and up for submission to the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) for bidding.

Domogan warned of the possible watering down or mutilation of the proposed autonomy law in the 18th Congress once elected lawmakers in the different parts of the region will not be united in aggressively advancing for the immediate passage of the Organic Act which Cordillerans had been longing for over the past three decades.

ECO-WALK PROGRAM FOR ADULTS TOO

Members of the San Vicente Baguio City Multipurpose Cooperative headed by Estela Maria Dulagan get briefed on the city's Eco-Walk Children's Environmental Awareness Program by Dexter See of the PIO Mayor's Office. The cooperative members undergo the program twice a year as part of their social service and development program. Ramon "Mondax" Dacawi

Veteran Journalist Ramon "Mondax" Dacawi shows a giant pine cone which came from the United State of America during a lecture at the Busol Watershed at one of the Eco-walk activities he spearheaded. Dacawi passed away on the morning of June 27 at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center. He was one of the pillars of Baguio Media. He was the brains behind the city government's Eco-walk Program on environment protection, the Urban Walk Program on culture and historical preservation, and he led the campaign on Free Dialysis treatment in the country. GIVING BACK

The city government of Baguio's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) unit received an automated external defibrillator from Lubbock Texas Medical Mission led by Nurse Jowel Patano (center beside Mayor Mauricio Domogan). The equipment is necessary to save lives during heart attack emergencies. The organization also donated several medical supplies and equipment to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) particularly two brand new units of portable suction and four brand new units of nebulizers. – By Jessa Mardy P.
